Growing Month by Month and The video home vegetable growing guides are:![]() Growing TomatoesThis instructional guide covers how, when and where to sow your to tomatoes.
![]() Growing CarrotsThis video is about sowing carrots in a large pot, although I'd suggest a larger size like half a barrel would give you better results.
![]() Growing BeetrootThis video suggests sowing your beetroot in pots but I have to say I wouldn't do it this way. I'd sow directly into the ground. Each to their own though.
![]() Growing LettuceThey mention Lollo Rosso, the Italian frilly lettuce, but don't forget there's a huge variety of lettuces you can grow including cut 'n' come again.
![]() Growing SquashA quick introduction into when and how to sow squash. They recommend the variety Hunter which I've not tried but it sounds good.
As well as the animated instructional guides, they've got a downloadable guide and a blog on the BBC Web Site. |
