Recipes for Moru

Ingredients
- 1 pint buttermilk,
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger crushed,
- 2 green chillies well chopped,
- 1 medium onion finely sliced,
- Curry patha (leaf)
- a little salt to taste.
- pinch of jeera (cumin powder) and dhania coriander powder
Method
In a large jug blend all the ingredients together. Chill for a while then serve with a garnish of curry patha, pinch of jeera and dhania.
Notes:
This is one of the most refreshing drinks you can imagine. From Kerela in South India it is regularly served at Good Earth Pottery, Alibag. Bombay.
Worth a trip across the water from The Gateway of India to Mandwa just to sample it.
