Have just tried this with 1 apple, 2 cups sugar, juice of 1 1/2 lemons, and 500g mixed berries. It's tasting great right now, just waiting for it to set, but it is has already passed the setting test, so fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All was going really well. Simple, easy to follow recipe. About 10 minutes into cooking time, there was a loud POP!, a smell of burning, and the microwave gave up the ghost.

Had to finish my jam on the hob. Has this happened to anyone else?

The perfect solution for us Guys out there.
Just jammed up Loganberries from the allotment perfectly.
Needed a touch more sugar to compensate for too much lemon juice.
Used 600w setting.
Brilliant, bring on the Blackberry & Apple

Hi All,
have used the same recipe with Damons but it did take a bit longer cooking time! Took out stones before cooking, and you may need to add an apple as this is a soft jam recipe, am just about to put in to jars!!!!! wish me luck!!!!

I have an 850w microwave, now coated in delicious strawberry toffee.

Next time I think I'll break down the boiling time into 10m /stir/ 5m /stir/ 5m.
