Root Veg Mash Recipe

  • Peel 1 medium swede, 2 medium turnips and 1 large celeriac.
  • Chop all into 1 inch pieces.
  • Place in large pan and cover with milk.
  • Add a few peppercorns and a bay leaf and a sprig of rosemary.
  • Boil for 20 mins until all veges are soft.
  • Drain and remove the herbs and peppercorns.
  • Mash with a potato masher and serve.

Great with sausages instead of normal mash or as topping for shepherds pie. No need to add any oil or butter so very healthy too!
