Make sure you use FRENCH Tarragon and not the horrible RUSSIAN Tarragon commonly sold as seed and plants. When buying a FRENCH Tarragon plant make sure you pick a leaf and have a nibble to confirm its FRENCH.....
You will never get FRENCH Tarragon as seed. French T spreads by rhizomes a bit like mint so its very easy to propogate by just pulling up a root, surprisingly it also strikes very easily from cuttings. Remember FRENCH T is slightly tender so will need winter protection, best grown in biggish pots and moved into a greenhouse or protected area. Mine survived last winter just in a cold greenhouse.
