Real Fruit Jelly Recipe
Submitted by Poolfield2 (Carol)
Using any mix of berry fruits, just cover them with water and simmer gently for 10 mins with enough sugar to make the mixture sweet enough for you.
Rub the mixture through a sieve and measure the liquid. Using 1 gelatine leaf per 0.25 pint presoak the leaves for 3 mins and then drain. Stir the leaves into warm mixture until dissolved and leave to set in the fridge.
I'm using this to use up the raspberries and redcurrants from my freezer.

hi,
this may sound a little daft.. but here goes where do you buy the gelatine leaves?
Val @ 5:23 pm
Supercook does them. They're available in most of the big supermarkets. Try the baking section.

Thanks for the recipe Carol. Nice and simple and I'm going to try it with some of the excess less than perfect soft fruit.

Hi
I'm looking for a simple smooth fruit jelly recipe that I can use with a group of learning disabilities as a way to include vitamin c and gelatin in etc in the diet. Could you advice of a simple one or two fruits that could be used separately and easily blended with a smooth jelly.
Thanks Jeanie

Do you have a nice Black Currant Jelly recipe as I have 6 cups of Black Currants that I picked myself this summer.
I am recovering from a double aneurysm that has left me seeing double so please forgive me if I make any mistakes.
I am seeing life through different Glasses now.
