Oh No - Marrow! Recipe

  • Cut a marrow into slices about 1/2" thick.  Cut off rind and remove seeds.
  • Flour each piece and quickly dip in a lightly beaten egg.
  • Dip into breadcrumbs to coat.
  • Fry until golden colour.
  • Keep hot in oven until needed.

Note:  The grandchilden wil actually eat these with a poached egg in the centre or with stewed apple and ginger and quick poached bacon bits to top.
