Fruit Trees, Nut Trees and Fruit BushesIf you are going to plant a tree or bush, then it is going to be there for some years. So it's well worth spending some time looking at the different varieties and going for something that will be productive and providing you with a good crop in years to come. Time spent to prepare the ground properly will repay you many times over. Plum PresidentTraditional late-cropping plum A heavy-cropping, large purple-blue skinned, yellow-fleshed plum raised at the start of the 20th century in Hertfordshire. For a long time it was one of the latest ripening plums and provided fresh plums when many other varieties had finished.
