For an exceptionally sweet taste (almost honey-like!) look no further than Thames Cross. The fruit is large and attractive (yellow flushed with rose pink) and is produced in abundance in early to mid-September, even while the trees are still quite young. A very large Plum - 50% larger than the popular Victoria! It has attractive purple skin and luscious yellow flesh with a very fine flavour.
