For easy installation of an automatic plant watering system where mains water is not accessible (e.g. allotments) these Water Butt Drip System Kits are the ideal solution.
A versatile system allowing you to use very low water pressure to water your flowers or vegetables.
For the system to work ensure the water butt is a minimum of 12" (30cm) above the plants to be watered.
These kits enable you to design and create you own water system by use of straight connectors, 'T' connectors and end plugs.
Each kit includes:
7mm Pipe - this forms the main artery of the system and has pre-inserted drippers every 12" (30cm) along its length.
1/2" (13mm) to 7mm Reducer - 3" (75mm) long barbed fitting to securely join 1/2" (13mm) hose to 7mm pipe.
7mm Straight Connectors - 1 1/2" (40mm) long, barbed at both sides to ensure a tight, secure joint between both pieces of pipe.
7mm 'T' Connector - barbed fitting approx. 3/4" (20mm) long in all three directions, use to branch the pipe.
7mm Plugs - 1/2" (15mm) barbed plug to securely fit into the end of 7mm pipe to end a run.
Two kits available:
10 Metre Kit - contains 10m Pipe, one Reducer, two Straight Connectors, one 'T' Connector and two Plugs.
30 Metre Kit - contains 30m Pipe, three Reducers, three Straight Connectors, three 7mm 'T' Connector, three ?" 'T' Connectors and six 7mm Plugs.
Please note: we recommend that you install a 1/2" filter between your water butt and 7mm pipe to prevent the pipe becoming blocked due to debris in the rain water.
This Water Butt Drip System is designed to enable you to run up to a total of 100m of the 7mm pipe from your water butt, providing this length is divided into separate runs of no more than 30 metres. |
