Allotment Shop Seed Suppliers Win Best Buy

In the allotment shop we’ve got a comprehensive seed section where you can easily find and compare seed varieties from Suttons, Dobie and Thompson & Morgan. The site sponsors were accepted as I had bought from them in the past and knew they were reputable, quality suppliers offering value for money on quality seeds.

Which? Gardening Best Buys

In the October edition of Which? Gardening, the consumer champion reports on 17 seed suppliers which it put to the test for best seed germination and quality of instructions on packets.

It’s nice to be able to report that Suttons Seeds have been awarded a coveted ‘Best Buy’ for their informative packets, coming top for their comprehensive growing and after-care instructions.

In the Which? Gardening independent tests, Suttons were also found to have an impressively high percentage of seeds which produced healthy seedlings. Suttons catalogue and website were also highlighted in the tests for their wealth of helpful advice and photographs.

Dobies won the overall ‘Best Buy’ award with quote

An impressive 91% of seed producing healthy seedlings. Dobies catalogue and user friendly website include helpful plant raising advice and photos of most varieties’.
