Free Seeds

PLEASE NOTE THIS OFFER HAS NOW EXPIRED

Last year I managed to secure some seeds from Suttons to give away with my book Vegetable Growing Month by Month.

Vegetable Growing Month by MonthThe stocks ran out and I had to take the offer off line. Of course, I’d have been happier to keep it running but what can you do? Anyway, the good news is that I’ve managed to get hold of some more seeds from Suttons so we have an offer again.

There’s a bit of a selection, all quality vegetable seeds though, with a sow by date of 2010 or later. I can’t promise to send specific seed varieties, there’s cabbages, cauliflowers, carrots, lettuce, peppers and so forth but I can guarantee that each order will get two or three packets with a minimum value of £5.00

Every copy I send out is signed by me personally.

I’ve been asked a few times why I’m charging more for the book than online bookshops like Amazon. The fact is that they buy a lot more than I do and they are geared for selling more than one book at a time. I think they make more on some books than others as well, so a loss leader offer is something I can’t compete with.

So by giving some seeds away and signing the book, I’m offering extra value. If, however, you don’t want the seeds and aren’t bothered about it being signed, you can buy from Amazon here: Vegetable Growing Month-by-month: The Down-to-earth Guide That Takes You Through the Vegetable Year

You can order directly, paying  via PayPal or by sending a cheque or postal order from the book’s page here: Vegetable Growing Month by Month

There’s more information including a chapter list on the books page. This offer is strictly whilst stocks last. I’ll make it clear on the book page when it has finished.

Please note: for legal reasons I can not offer the free seeds outside of the EU

And here’s a photo of me and my good pal Richard Cannon – I’m holding the book and some seeds (just to prove it!)

I would like to buy this book, how would it apply in the middle of the United States with freezing cold wintry weather???

John @ 5:02 pm

I haven’t a clue about the USA – I know you have different zones and so forth but I couldn’t really recommend it to you and I can’t send seeds to the USA as far as I know. I think Homeland Security would send in a hazmat team and extradite me to Cuba for trying.. then again, always fancied visiting Cuba :)

Am going to buy the book, as it had a very good write up in Amazon. I think it is Swings and Roundabouts over the price. I rather like the idea of a signed book! Am a disabled Gardener of 78, no Allotment, tho had one in the past. Got a Greenhouse, and growing in tubs. growing as much as I can, the price of veg is awful. 99 p for a Cabbage! I am going to try, Hispi, in a long Trough, nothing ventured, etc.

John @ 5:15 pm

Thank you Tina, I do have a section about growing in tubs and pots so I hope that is helpful to you.
