		<description>I&#039;m glad you mentioned sprouts blowing because i lost lots of these last season. In one part of the garden where i&#039;d limed 3 months previous they did fine and in another area where i&#039;d paid a little less attention to the soil they all blew. 

I thought it might be something to do with the soil being too acid so i&#039;ll take onboard some of the advice here and try again.

The old boy next door to me produces amazing sprouts year in year out and when i ask him how he achieves great results he just asks if i&#039;d like some LOL.</description>

		<description>Absolutely right, Peter. Firming in well helps stop the wind rock. Staking can help on windy sites as well.</description>

		<description>very - very firm soil around the roots of sprouts will help prevent blowing, I have found.

As always, with vegetables a bit of luck on your side seems to help.</description>
