P Mears – it doesn’t matter where they go on the allotment as they’ll be near to potatoes. Remember the spores are airborne and float about to wreak their evil.

I know what you mean about the soil being dry. We had a torrential down pour and hailstones on Friday but Saturday the soil was still dry when weeding. We could do with a week long downpour around north Shropshie

Notice that the Roma tomatoes seen to be surrounded by potatoes on 2 sides.

Not too clever – same plant family = blight !!
