		<description>Some say the carrot fly cannot go above 60cm but I don&#039;t think that&#039;s 100% true so the thing that defines the depth of barrel is how long you want to grow your carrots.

For long show carrots that can be 120cm long you need tall barrels! For normal eating carrots then 30cm is fine - but fleece over if carrot fly is a problem.

If you&#039;ve a nice sandy soil then don&#039;t bother with a barrel would be my advice.</description>
